Wave 5 (August - November 2024)

Results

  • 105 applications received
  • 44 mentors and 51 mentees participated in the wave
  • 29% of mentees achieved employment by the end of the wave
  • Confidence in job search soared from 12% to 83%
  • 24 impactful workshops in total

Highlights

  • Power Hub Zug, in partnership with Natalia Lechbinskaya (SEEP - Association for Legal Aid to Refugees) and Tetiana Gagarina, hosted three public webinars on topics of labor rights, work permits and self-employment for status S holders, engaging over 200 participants!
  • Webinar “Hiring Experience by Ingeus AG”: Micha Weiss from Ingeus AG shared valuable job-seeking tips for Ukrainians in Switzerland, while Vira Rodionova spoke about her successful employment journey.
  • Power Hub Zug hosted an informative session on the process of diploma recognition in Switzerland, featuring expert Olga von Kaenel from HEKS MosaiQ Zürich. Participants gained valuable insights on confirming their qualifications and improving their job prospects in Switzerland.

Wave 4 (March - May 2024)

In numbers:

Results

  • 63 applications received
  • 40 mentors and 44 mentees participating in the wave
  • 34% of the Wave 4 mentees secured employment by the end of the wave
  • Confidence in job search grew from 17% to 66%
  • 21 impactful events conducted
  • Mentees submitted 1,757 job applications and attended 57 interviews

Highlights

  • Kick-off and Final Get-Together events supported by the Department of Social Services of the Canton of Zug and RAV Zug (Regional Employment Center)
  • Elevator Pitch & Mock Interview workshops: Participants practiced their elevator pitches in small groups, while mock interviews offered valuable simulation and feedback, helping job seekers refine their skills for real-world job opportunities.

Wave 3 (August - December 2023)

Results

  • 37 mentors and 47 mentees partcipating in the wave
  • 31% of the mentees were employed by the end of the wave (compared to 17% at the beginning)
  • 76% participants evaluate their chances to find a job as high at the end of the wave vs. 10% at the beginning
  • 90% indicated that they have received useful information and support from the program
  • 100% would recommend the initiative to their peers

Highlights

  • Wave 3 Kick-off event supported by the Department of Social Services of the Canton of Zug and RAV Zug (regional employment center)
  • Webinar “CV through the eyes of a recruiter” hold by an HR specialist from Johnson&Johnson
  • Power Hub Zug team and several mentees participate in the Third Career Re-Entry Conference in Zug organised by Companies&Returnships Network
  • In September 2023 Power Hub Zug was officially recognized as a non-profit organisation by the canton of Zug

Wave 2 (January - March 2023)

Results

  • 25 mentors and 34 mentees
  • 20% of the mentees were employed by the end of the project
  • 84,6% participants evaluate their chances to find a job as high at the end of the program vs. 15,3% at the beginning
  • 100% participants indicate that they got significant results from mentors’ support
  • 96,2% indicated that they have received useful information and support from the program
  • 100% would recommend the initiative to their peers

Highlights

  • Power Hub Zug was officially registered as an association (“Verein”) in January 2023
  • CV photo session offered for mentees
  • Power Hub Zug is invited to participate in the organisation of the Job Fair hold by Thomson Reuters in March 2023, many our participants took part in this fair
